A female suspect was apprehended by the National Bureau of Investigation–International Airport Investigation Division (NBI-IAID) on June 3 at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 for alleged involvement in human trafficking activities.

Authorities suspect the woman to be the mastermind behind the issuance of fake immigration departure stamps and the illegal facilitation of passenger departures through NAIA.

The arrest stemmed from a coordinated operation following the apprehension of a female passenger, alias Mary, who was intercepted at NAIA while attempting to depart for Kuala Lumpur.

Mary was turned over to the NBI-IAID by the Head of I-PROBES-NAIA Terminal III after her name surfaced during an investigation into another intercepted passenger, Glaizel, who was apprehended while attempting to depart for Malaysia with a forged Bureau of Immigration stamp and a falsified boarding pass.

She said Molina claimed to have connections inside NAIA and could provide an escort to facilitate her illegal departure.

Further communication with Mary’s niece in Malaysia led her to another contact, “Diane Fiona,” who allegedly posed as an immigration officer and provided specific instructions for Mary’s departure.

Mary later admitted that she had paid P120,000 via GCASH to Molina in exchange for assistance in bypassing BI formalities.

“After payment, Mary’s niece was contacted by Fiona, who introduced herself as an Immigration Officer stationed at NAIA Terminal 3 and instructed her on the procedure of Mary’s departure. Verification made with the GCASH number revealed that it was registered to “HA**A DI** M.”, which can be reasonably inferred that the said number belongs to Subject Molina,” said NBI.

The arrest followed an investigation triggered by the June 4 interception of a passenger named Glaizel, who was caught with a fake Bureau of Immigration (BI) stamp and boarding pass while attempting to leave for Malaysia. In her affidavit, Glaizel implicated another passenger, Mary, who was intercepted the following day.

“Supplemental report provided by I-PROBES disclosed that Subject Molina is an employee of Data Trail Corporation, a subcontractor of the NNIC, and is presently assigned at NAIA Terminal 3. On June 5, 2025, further verification by the NBI-IAID revealed that Subject Molina is currently on duty and was seen in the vicinity of NAIA Terminal 3,” NBI said in a statement.

Molina is facing charges for violating Section 5(e) of Republic Act No. 9208, also known as the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, as amended by Republic Act No. 11862 or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2022.

She has already undergone inquest proceedings before the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office.
