President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. has named former Presidential Management Staff (PMS) Secretary Maria Zenaida ‘Naida’ Angping as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the French Republic.
According to the Commission on Appointments (CA), it received her ad interim nomination papers on January 17.
Marcos appointed Angpin to the said position on January 13, it added.
In December last year, Malacañang announced that the President granted Angpin's request to take some personal time off her duties.
Palace earlier said that the former PMS chief wanted to focus on herself and her family.
Prior to her appointment as PMS head, she served as the representative of Manila's 3rd Congressional District.
She is the ex-wife of former Philippine Sports Commission chairman Harry Angping.
