The management of the Philippine National Railways (PNR) has announced that the Naga-Ligao route is scheduled to be opened on Monday, July 31.
In a news release posted on Thursday, PNR management said the first trip from Ligao station to Naga station will start at 5:30 AM.
The second trip, from Naga station to Ligao station, will begin at 5:30 PM.
"Tinatayang aabutin ng dalawang oras at 11 minuto ang biyahe mula Ligao patungong Naga at pabalik, gamit ang isang Diesel Hydraulic Locomotive (DHL) na mayroong limang passenger coaches na kayang magsakay ng higit 1,300 libong mga pasahero," the railway management said.
According to PNR management, the route will have stops at nine stations namely Naga, Pili, Baao, Iriga, Bato, Matacon, Polangui, Oas, and Ligao.
The transport fee is ranging from ₱15 to ₱105.
The railway management said eating and drinking are still not allowed inside the trains, but the face mask policy is lifted.
It can be recalled that in April 2017, the PNR management suspended the Naga-Legazpi route due to the shortage of rolling stock.
