The Miss Universe Philippines has officially opened applications for its 2023 pageant to all women "regardless of civil status."

"The most prestigious crown in the country can be yours for the taking. Bring out the queen in you as we open the application process for Miss Universe Philippines 2023," the organization announced Monday through its Facebook and Instagram.

The application is open to female Filipino citizens age18 to 27 years old. There’s also no specific minimum height requirement for this edition’s screening process.

The application will be open until Jan. 29, 2023.

This comes after Paula Shugart, president of the Miss Universe organization, confirmed in September that the 72nd edition of the pageant will now allow moms and wives to participate in the competition.

Filipino-Italian model Celeste Cortesi was crowned as Miss Universe Philippines last April. She will compete in the 71st Miss Universe pageant on January 14, 2023, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
