Former Reina Hispanoamericano 2017 Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez joins the Miss Universe Philippines pageant anew as the official representative of Muntinlupa City.
According to media reports, Winwyn was announced as the official representative on Saturday, February 8, during the official sashing and media launch of the Miss Universe Philippines - Muntinlupa in Mandaluyong.
Winwyn’s friend and fellow beauty queen and Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee was present at the event to show support for the former.
In an Instagram post, Michelle could not contain her excitement over Winwyn competing in the pageant again.
“As someone who has given me so much strength in my journey, I definitely can’t wait for everyone to witness yours @teresitassen 🥹 I know you’ll take every step with pure intentions and nothing but love for your purpose and our home,” she captioned her post.
Michelle continued, stating how she couldn’t deny that she’s definitely one of the abangers for Winwyn’s walk.

Meanwhile, in a video posted online, Winwyn explained her intentions for joining the pageant. She explained how she wanted everyone to see that dreams would never stop, no matter your age.
“This [Luna] is my inspiration. This is why I am here now on stage because I want everyone to see that even if you’re a mother or if you are a certain age, that dreams will never stop,” she explained, as she brought her daughter, Luna on stage with her.
“This is about inspiring the next generation. Inspiring all women that we are meant to be seen and we are meant to be celebrated,” she continued.

People had been asking whether the actress and beauty queen would be joining the Miss Universe pageant again after she posted a series of photos of her in a bikini to celebrate the New Year.
Meanwhile, the Miss Universe 2025 pageant will be held in Thailand, wherein reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig, will be passing the crown to the next Miss Universe.
