Miss Grand Philippines will now have its own national search with another organization after leaving the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc.'s roster of titles.
The ALV Pageant Circle, which now owns the local franchise, has announced the start of the 2023 pageant season by inviting contestants to join the quest.
Meanwhile, Miss Grand Philippines was one of the crowns awarded by the annual Binibining Pilipinas pageant from 2016 to 2022.
As a result, the national champion was not a focused titleholder, but rather a "most likely" winner - not to mention the years when appointees were sent to compete. The Philippines came closest to winning the crown in 2016 with Nicole Cordoves, and again in 2020 with Samantha Bernardo.
Pinoy fans are hopeful that the stand-alone format in the search for the Philippine representative to the Miss Grand International pageant will finally bring the elusive gold crown to the country after a long wait.
The following qualifications must guide applicants:
- 5'4" at the very least
- The applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 28.
- Filipino national
- a holder of a Philippine passport, and
- Female, never married or had a child.
