Current Pasig City mayor Vico Sotto filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for a third term on Saturday, October 5.
Sotto filed his COC for reelection with his parents, ‘Bossing’ Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes.

Additionally, Reyes said in a short clip that Sotto knows what he's doing, and that there is nothing to worry about.
“So now I have peace in my heart. He found his peace. We know what we're doing, he knows what he’s doing. So, nothing to worry about. God is in control,” the actress said.

Meanwhile, Sotto linked Sara Discaya, his expected 2025 election rival, to owning St. Timothy Construction Corp. (STCC), one of the companies that was supposed to provide automated voting machines for next year's elections.
In a post on X, DZRH reporter Edniel Parrosa shared the Pasig City Mayor's stance on the STCC owner's candidacy.
“It doesn't make sense. This seems to be---malinaw na dummy. Malinaw na malinaw,” Sotto told reporters.

The incumbent Pasig City Mayor first entered politics in 2016, when he won the election as an independent.
