American-Canadian actor Matthew Perry, best known as Chandler Bing in the hit 90&rsquo;s American sitcom &ldquo;Friends&rdquo;, reportedly passed away.&nbsp;
His passing was first reported by the American celebrity news website, TMZ.
&ldquo;[S]ources tell us he actually died at his own house after some physical activity this morning,&rdquo; TMZ said in a<a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/10/28/friends-star-matthew-perry-dead-dies-drowning/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> news article published at 5 PM on Saturday, Oct. 28</a>.&nbsp;
&ldquo;We're told Matthew came home sometime in the AM after a 2-hour round of pickleball, and that he sent his assistant out on [an] errand shortly thereafter. We're told when the assistant returned about 2 hours later, he discovered Matthew unresponsive ... and called 911,&rdquo; it added.
The celebrity news website stated that the assistant particularly found the 54-year-old actor in his jacuzzi.&nbsp;
&ldquo;[W]e're told there were no drugs found at the scene. We're also told there is no foul play involved,&rdquo; TMZ said.&nbsp;
In 1994, Matthew rose to fame after his portrayal of a funny, sarcastic, and romantic character named Chandler in &ldquo;Friends&rdquo; which ran until 2004.&nbsp;
Following the immense success of the sitcom, Matthew starred in several television shows and films.&nbsp;
Thousands had expressed their sorrow with the actor&rsquo;s passing on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday, Oct. 29.
