Actor Markus Paterson revealed one of the lessons he learned from his past relationships, and that is to never date someone from the showbiz industry.
Markus' remark came during a beer pong game with fellow celebrities Anthony Jennings, Jae Miranda, Gello Marquez and Aljon Mendoza, uploaded on Rise Artists Studio’s YouTube channel over the weekend.
In the middle of the talks, the actor shared his 'three month-rule.'
"Kapag ikaw yung nag-cheat or nang-iwan, bigyan mo naman ng grace period yung lalaki," he said, without mentioning any names.
Mendonza the interrupted him and asked, "So sa susunod na relationship mo, sasabihin niya?"
Paterson cut him off, saying: “Anong susunod na relationship? Kung may lessons ako sa mga relationships ko, never to f*cking date someone in the industry."
"‘Wag niyo i-cut ‘yan, seryoso ako d’yan," he added while looking directly at the camera.
"I’ve made a mistake more than three times in this life; it’s always to be ready when you start moving on. Because if you’re not ready to move on and you meet some other people and you still have some ties to your past, trauma, pain, that sh*t gonna come back and haunt you, ruin the relationship you built," he continued.
His statement, however, did not sit well to the netizens.
Markus' last public relationship was with fellow celebrity, actress Janella Salvador, who he shared a one-year-old son Jude with.
Prior to this, Salvador described herself as a “single mom” in an interview.
