Mark Lee of the K-pop group NCT has tested positive for COVID-19, prompting him to skip their upcoming concert, SM Entertainment announced on Monday.

In a report by Soompi, the agency said that Mark felt “abnormal symptoms” on Monday morning and immediately underwent a rapid antigen test that confirmed his COVID-19 diagnosis.

“Mark previously received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. He has immediately halted all activities and is self-isolating and getting treated at home in accordance with the guidelines of the government health authorities,” the statement read.

With his current condition, Mark will be unable to perform in The DREAM SHOW 2: In a DREAM concert scheduled on July 29-31.

"As a result, NCT DREAM’s second solo concert “THE DREAM SHOW 2: In A DREAM,” which is scheduled for July 29 to 31, will be held with six members excluding Mark, so we ask for your understanding," his agency noted.

"Our agency will strictly adhere to the instructions of health authorities, and we will consider our artist’s health and safety our top priority as we do our utmost to help him focus entirely on his recovery," it added.

In his message thru the LYSN app, the K-pop idol apologized for making fans "wait again."

"Hate to ask you to wait again... but I hope we'll meet on the day of our concert with all seven," Mark wrote. "Let's all be safe till then :(."

NCT DREAM, formed and debuted in 2016, is the third sub-unit of NCT comprising Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Jisung, Jaemin, Chenle, and Haechan. Their second full-length album, Glitch Mode was released in March.

The group last visited the country in May this year to perform at the Smart Araneta Coliseum for Begin Again: KPOP Edition. They were also recently named as the newest ambassadors of the Filipino clothing line Penshoppe in the same month.
