President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced on Monday that the P20 rice price per kilo is no longer just a promise and will expand nationwide.

Marcos further said that the government has allocated P113 billion to support the programs of Department of Agriculture (DA) and to fund the hundreds Kadiwa store centers that will serve as retail outlets for the subsidized rice.

He also warned the traders, which attempted to manipulate rice prices or exploit farmers, saying such actions will be treated as sabotage.
