President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on Monday laughed off another allegation linking him to illegal drug usage as shown on the supposed leaked confidential documents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Back in April, a certain vlogger shared a photo of a supposed PDEA pre-operation report dated March 11 stating that targets "Bongbong Marcos @ Bonget, and some unidentified male and female cohorts" were caught "using illegal drugs inside" a condo unit in Rockwell Makati City.
During the sidelines of his event, Marcos was asked on the issue, to which he brushed off with a laugh and walked away.
PDEA Director General Moro Virgilio Lazo, during a senate inquiry, insisted that the supposed pre-operation report and authority to operate which both circulated on social media are non-existent.
''There are no such documents, your honor... Siguradong-sigurado po kami. Walang dokumento na ganyan (We are very sure of that. There is no such document)," Lazo said during the hearing.
Last April 2, PDEA released a statement, indicating that the two documents were not found in their Plans and Operations Reports Management Information System or PORMIS.
The agency advised the public to be cautious "in believing such fake news."
