President Rodrigo Duterte has been invited to UniTeam's miting de avance on Saturday, according to presidential candidate Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.
In an interview with DZRH, Marcos Jr. said that their camp invited Duterte for their event in Parañaque City this afternoon, but the president has yet to respond.
"Imbitado siya [Pang. Duterte] pero wala tayong naririnig na siya ay dadalo sa ating miting de avance," said the presidential candidate.
(He is invited. But we have not heard from him if he will attend the miting de avance.)
Duterte was in Davao Ciy on Friday to attend the miting de avance of the Hugpong ng Pagbabago.
The invitation follows the president's recent change of tone on Marcos Jr., who he claimed lives a simple life, after previously calling him a "weak leader" and a "spoiled brat."
Marcos Jr. in the same interview claimed he believes that even without an endorsement, Duterte is expressing his support for his presidential bid on May 9.
The presidential candidate is running with presidential daughter and Davao Mayor Sara Duterte, who is eyeing a vice-presidential post in the upcoming polls.
