Several malls in Manila have announced on Wednesday that they are providing temporary shelter for individuals affected by the intense rain and flooding brought about by the enhanced Southwest monsoon and Typhoon Carina.

SM Supermalls mentioned that their branches particularly: SM City Manila, SM Center Muntinlupa, SM City Sucat, SM City Bicutan, and SM City BF Parañaque, will be accommodating individuals who wish to seek temporary shelter.

They will be offering services such as free WiFI, available charging stations, help desk, and overnight parking charges will be waived for the day.

Additionally, Vista Mall has declared that its shopping centers will be available for stranded customers and commuters affected by the habagat and typhoon.

Filinvest Malls also announced availability for providing safe space for those who want temporary shelter amid the heavy rain. The following branches were mentioned: Festival Mall, Alabang; Main Square, Bacoor; For a Mall, Tagaytay; Filinvest Shoppes Makati; and The Shoppes at Studio 7, Quezon City.

Free WiFi, access to charging stations, and restrooms were offered for convenience.

Moreover, Robinsons Manila and Robinsons Galleria offered waived overnight parking, free WiFi, and available charging stations as well.

Ayala Malls Marikina and Ayala Malls Fairview Terraces will also be opening its doors for nearby residents who would like to seek temporary shelter. Designated waiting areas, free charging stations, and restrooms will be accessible even beyond mall operating hours. Overnight parking fees will be waived as well.
