A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck Claveria, Masbate, on Sunday morning, September 14.

According to PHIVOLCS, the quake, which had a depth of seven kilometers, occurred at 6:45 a.m.

The following instrumental intensities were recorded:

• Intensity III – City of Legazpi, Albay; Bulan, Sorsogon

• Intensity II – Irosin and Pilar, Sorsogon

• Intensity I – Bulusan and Donsol, Sorsogon

Additional instrumental intensities reported:

• Intensity III – Monreal, Masbate; City of Legazpi, Albay

• Intensity II – Milagros and Aroroy, Masbate; City of Sorsogon and Castilla, Sorsogon

• Intensity I – Bulusan, Sorsogon; City of Iriga, Camarines Sur; Mulanay, Quezon; Rosario, Northern Samar

PHIVOLCS said no damage is expected and no aftershocks have been recorded.
