The Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Wednesday, Dec. 13, suspended the license of a ride-hailing platform Angkas’s rider for 90 days after allegedly trying to molest a female passenger in Brgy. Manggahan in Pasig last month.

LTO chief Vigor Mendoza said the Angkas driver had already been issued a show cause order (SCO) and called to appear at the LTO-National Capital Region for the investigation.

“This action is part of the investigation that we conducted as soon as we monitored this case in the social media,” Mendoza said in a press release.

According to the LTO chief, the female victim first raised her complaint to “Raffy Tulfo In Action", reporting that the Angkas rider allegedly molested her and took her phone and wallet.

Mendoza did not name the Angkas rider involved, but stated that he was holding a driver’s license registered in Taytay, Rizal.

“He is now under investigation for at least three cases which could lead to the revocation of his license if found guilty,” the LTO chief said.

The Angkas driver is facising cases of reckless driving and improper person to operate a motor vehicle.
