

The stay-in driver of the Director of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Western Visayas was shot dead by two siblings in Barangay Ungka II, Pavia, Iloilo on Wednesday, April 2, according to a report by Aine Grace Bravo.
Based on CCTV footage, the victim, Wilmer Villaros, was seen talking to two men in front of his employer’s house, near a parked Isuzu Crosswind.
Moments later, one of the men punched Villaros while the other drew a firearm and shot him.
Villaros was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The suspects, who were later identified as siblings, were arrested at a checkpoint in Sara, Iloilo.
However, authorities failed to recover the firearm used in the crime.
Police are looking into an old grudge as the possible motive behind the killing.
The suspects are currently detained at the Pavia Municipal Police Station and have refused to give any statements.
