Celebrate Feb-IBIG at Light Rail Train (LRT)-1!
On Thursday, Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) announced that it would conduct week-long activities at the LRT-1 Central station to observe Valentine's season.
In a statement, LRMC said these activities aim to "bring fun to the hearts of passengers and create an atmosphere of love."
According to the train operator, a heART Installation designed with red and pink flowers will be unveiled on February 13.
All passengers — couples, barkadas, families, and even those traveling solo can take selfies in front of this installation.
There will also be a "Straight from the heart" corner where passengers can write a dedication message for their loved ones or someone special.
Meanwhile, the LRMC said it would also open an art display titled "LOVE through the eyes of children".
It will feature artworks made by Grades 1 to 6 students of Marcela Marcelo Elementary School (MMES) in Malibay, Pasay City.
"LRMC has been supporting MMES since 2020 as part of its strong advocacy for education by helping non and struggling readers through Binhi English Literacy Foundation, a non-profit and non-governmental organization," it said.
Apart from this, a Gifts of Love Bazaar will be set up at the LRT-1 Central station ground floor parking area where passengers can buy gifts on February 14.
The train operator also teased that fun surprises await lucky LRT-1 passengers on February 13 and 14.
