Who’s up for some freaky news?
Disney just dropped the trailer for the long-awaited “Freaky Friday” sequel, Freakier Friday!
The iconic body-swap classic starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan has finally returned after twenty-two years. Whether it's childhood nostalgia or déjà vu, the upcoming film lives up to its name based on the trailer.
This time, the beloved mother-daughter duo is joined by two more girls, which is a real recipe for something freakier. Picking up from where the film left off 20 years later, Anna Coleman (Lindsay) is now a mom raising her daughter and soon-to-be stepdaughter.
The trailer begins with Tess and Anna Coleman, being told that their lives have intersected before and that they have walked in each other’s paths. However, the lady warns that that lesson may serve them again.
Apart from the duo, the cast members for “Freakier Friday” include Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao.
The iconic ensemble will also be joined by new members like Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Julia Butters, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan.
In October last year, Disney announced they had wrapped filming for a Freaky Friday sequel. They gave fans a first look at the film with a little reference to one of the most iconic scenes.
Mark your calendars for August 8 because lightning is about to strike twice for Tess and Anna, as they navigate a myriad of challenges when two families are about to merge.
