As Christmas and New Year season nears, the three major railway lines operating across Metro Manila and nearby provinces have released their adjusted operating schedules.
LRT-1
In an advisory issued last Friday, the management of Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) announced that Light Rail Train Line 1 (LRT-1) will remain open on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) and New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) but will have shorter operating hours.
On Christmas and New Year’s day, the LRT-1’s operations will still follow the regular weekend schedule.
LRT-2
The management of Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) also issued an advisory informing commuters that its stations will open at 5 am during Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
The last train to Recto and Antipolo on Christmas Eve will arrive at 8:00 pm and 8:30 pm, respectively.
Meanwhile, the last trips to the same destination on New Year’s Eve will be at 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm, respectively.
Similar to the LRT-1, the LRT-2 will have normal operations on Christmas and New Year’s day.
