The Quiapo Church on Sunday released its schedule of activities and outlined its guidelines and reminders in preparation for the upcoming feast of the Black Nazarene.
Every year, millions of devotees gather in the heart of Manila, Quiapo, to celebrate the feast of the Black Nazarene.
The theme for the 2025 celebration is based on the first book of Samuel 15:22, which says, "Mas mabuti ang pagsunod kaysa paghahandog sa mga umaasa kay Hesus."
In preparation for the upcoming National Feast of the Black Nazarene, here is the list of activities for Nazareno 2025:

- Misa Novena in Honor of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno: 11:45 am

As part of the annual celebration on January 9, the Traslacion—a procession carrying the 400-year-old black image of Jesus Christ—will traverse from Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church in Manila.

"Paalala muli mga ka-deboto, gawin nating ligtas, banal, at maayos ang pagdiriwang ng kapistahan ng Poong Hesus Nazareno," Quiapo Church Priest RDO. PD. Robert Arellano, LRMS said.
"Para sa mga debotong magsisimba sa loob ng simbahan ng Quiapo, ang tanging entrance o pasukan po na ating dadaanan ay sa Palanca St. patungo sa Villalobos St.," Quiapo Church Priest RDO. PD. Christopher S. Crucero, LRMS mentioned.
Meanwhile, each exit will be along Quezon Boulevard, leading to Quinta Market, Raon, and Paterno St.
For those who wish to attend Mass outside the church, designated LED screens have been set up around the church.
Here are some reminders from the Quiapo Church leadership to ensure the safe, orderly, and reverent celebration of the feast:
- Climbing onto the carriage to view the Black Nazarene is prohibited.
- It is allowed to throw handkerchiefs/towels when the carriage of the Black Nazarene passes by.
- There will also be a rope to pull in order to move the procession forward. A reminder to be cautious and considerate of fellow devotees when holding and pulling it.
- If barefoot or not wearing foot coverings, make sure to exercise caution.
- Make sure that your physical condition and health are in good shape.
- If you are experiencing any illness or discomfort, it is encouraged to stay at home.
- Avoid starting arguments, pushing, or causing any harm to others.
- Avoid bringing too many belongings inside the church or at the Quirino Grandstand for your safety.
- If bringing a bag, make sure it is transparent, as well as any water containers, to make security inspections easier.
- Avoid bringing valuable items, infants, or young children for safety reasons.
- Do not leave litter or garbage at the Quirino Grandstand or anywhere throughout the entire feast day.
