The Popemobile, a jeepney-inspired vehicle used by Pope Francis during his 2015 visit to the Philippines, is making rounds at several churches across Metro Manila.
On Friday morning, one of the places where the Popemobile made a stop was the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus the Nazarene, also referred to as Quiapo Church in Manila.
The vehicle features a jeepney-style design, a distinctly Filipino mark that also reflects the humility of the Pope. A life-size standee of Pope Francis was displayed inside the Pope Jeep.
Numerous devotees of Jesus Nazareno who attended Mass at the Minor Basilica took the opportunity to have their photos taken with the vehicle.
As mentioned in a report by RH Boy Gonzales, Emil Lorenzo of Armored Transport Plus Inc. stated that the request to bring the Pope Jeep to various churches came in after the passing of Pope Francis.
By afternoon, the Pope Jeep will be transported to San Antonio Parish Church, located in Makati City.
