<p dir="ltr">After being enmeshed in a viral death hoax, Lil Tay broke her silence through a statement to the <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/08/10/lil-tay-social-media-star-still-alive-instagram-hacked-fake-death-hoax/">TMZ report</a>.&nbsp;</p>
<p dir="ltr">&ldquo;I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I&rsquo;m completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say. It&rsquo;s been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess,&rdquo; the young rapper told TMZ.&nbsp;</p>
<p dir="ltr">She added that her Instagram account was hacked by a third party that spread &ldquo;jarring misinformation and rumors&rdquo; regarding her.&nbsp;</p>
<p dir="ltr">Lil Tay became viral in 2018 after a video of her holding wads of cash and riding luxury cars gained traction online.&nbsp;</p>
