Scottish singer and songwriter Lewis Capaldi announced that the remaining stops of his "Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent" concert tour, which includes Manila, are canceled due to the struggle he faces with his Tourette syndrome.
"The fact that this probably won't come as a surprise doesn't make it any easier to write, but I'm very sorry to let you know I'm going to be taking a break from touring for the foreseeable future," the "Someone you loved" hit-maker said in a statement posted on his Facebook page.
He revealed that he is still learning to adjust to the effect of his Tourette's.
"[A]nd on Saturday it became obvious to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come," Lewis added.
The 26-year-old singer thanked his family, friends, team, and medical professional who have been supportive of him during the times he needed it.
He apologized to his fans and supporters who planned and looked forward to his concert, but he noted that he needed the rest to give them the performance they deserve.
"Playing for you every night is all I've ever dreamed of so this has been the most difficult decision of my life. I'll be back as soon as I possibly can," Lewis promised.
Last June 25, the Scottish singer was unable to finish his performance in Glastonbury, England after losing his voice.
