Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque assured that the provinces of Laguna and Bataan, which have also been placed under enhanced community quarantine, will receive financial assistance.
Roque said on Monday, August 9, that the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) proposed allocating a total of Php 2.715 billion for Laguna.
The Department of International and Local Government (DILG), meanwhile, holds consultations with the local government unit of Bataan in order to compute the amount of funds needed to provide cash aid to low-income families in the province.
Roque said that target beneficiaries will receive cash aid worth at least Php 1,000 per person or up to Php 4,000 per household.
Roque also confirmed that the DBM has released a total of Php 10.894 billion worth of funds to provide financial assistance to families in Metro Manila, which reverted to enhanced community quarantine on Friday, August 6.
"Sapat naman ang ating savings and dividends para bayaran itong ayuda sa Laguna at Bataan kasama na iyong sa Metro Manila, sa Cagayan de Oro City, sa Iloilo City," the Palace official guaranteed.
