Tropical storm "Kristine" maintains its strength as it moves west-northwestward over the sea east of Quezon, PAGASA reported early Wednesday.
According to the weather bureau's 8 AM bulletin, "Kristine" is currently positioned 310 km east of Baler, Aurora, or 310 km east-northeast of Infanta, Quezon.
The storm has maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h, gusts reaching up to 105 km/h, and is moving west-northwest at 15 km/h.
Tropical Wind Signal No. 2 has been raised in the following areas:

Moreover, a Gale Warning has been issued for the seaboards of Luzon and Visayas.
"Kristine" is expected to move generally northwestward for the next 12 hours before shifting to a westward direction for the remainder of the forecast period. It is projected to make landfall over Isabela or northern Aurora tonight or early tomorrow morning
The tropical storm is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Friday.
The next tropical cyclone bulletin is scheduled to be released at 11:00 AM today.
