Kobe Paras became the 7th Filipino basketball player who will bring his talents to Japan.

Niigata Albirex BB announced on Sunday, September 5, that Paras has signed a contract with a team under the Asian Player Quota of the B.League in Japan, and he will play in the upcoming 2021-2022 season.

In a statement posted in the website of Albirex BB, Paras thanked the Japanese basketball team, and expressed his excitment to play under coach Fujitaka Hiraoka.

"I look forward to playing in the role that coach Hiraoka has envisioned for me and showcasing the love I have for this game on a professional level in front of the great Niigata boosters," Paras said.

"I can’t wait to arrive in Japan, to work hard on becoming a better player and creating life long memories with my teammates, staff, and wonderful fans," the 23-year old basketball player added.

Paras joins Thirdy Ravena, Kiefer Ravena, Juan Gomez de Liaño, Javi Gomez de Liaño, Kemark Carino, and Bobby Ray Parks, Jr. who have all joined different team in the B.League of Japan.
