Karl Eldrew Yulo settled for a silver medal finish in the 2023 Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships on Monday, June 12, in Singapore.
The 15-year old Filipino gymnast placed second in the men's junior vault event after garnering an average score of 13.775 points.
Yulo, the younger brother of two-time world champion Carlos Yulo, registered a score of 13.700 points in his first vault, and 13.850 points in his second vault.
Chinese gymnast Wang Chengcheng also tallied an average score of 13.775 points but he took home the gold medal due to having a higher score in his first vault (14.050 points).
Wang registered 13.500 points in his second vault.
Althnkhan Temirbek of Kazakhstan won the bronze medal after he registered an average score of 13.650 points (13.850 points in his first vault and 13.450 in his second vault).
