Team Liquid Philippines brought the MSC crown back to the country after three years, defeating defending champion Selangor Red Giants (SRG) of Malaysia, 4-1, in the grand finals of the 2025 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid-Season Cup on Saturday.
SRG struck first in the series, taking Game 1 with a well-coordinated attack led by Mark “Kramm” Rusiana’s Cici and Muhammad Haqqullah "Sekys" Ahmad Shahrul Zaman's Akai.
But Team Liquid PH quickly regrouped. Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya led the bounce-back in Game 2 with a commanding Lapu-Lapu, and followed it up in Game 3 with clutch Gloo initiations that allowed Kiel “Oheb” Soriano to break SRG’s backline.
Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz then completely shut down SRG’s playmaking in Game 4, leading to a swift 10-minute win. The Filipinos sealed the deal in Game 5, dominating from start to finish and forcing SRG to surrender the title.
Sanford’s consistent performance earned him Finals MVP honors, while the championship gave Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno his long-awaited MSC title, completing his personal MLBB trophy collection.
Team Liquid PH takes home the $1,000,000 top prize, roughly ₱58 million, after their championship run in Riyadh.
The win also marks the Philippines’ return to MSC glory, with the last title coming in 2022 via RSG PH.
