The miniseries "Pag-ibig Na Kaya," starring Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz, will debut in February, with K-drama actor Kim Won-shik portraying the second protagonist.
Won-shik, a recent signee with Universal Record Philippines, is no stranger to the country. He speaks Filipino because he lived there for six and a half years.
Niq Ablao is the director of "Pag-ibig Na Kaya" while JP Lopez wrote the screenplay.
As someone who has already seen Ablao's direction of Moira dela Torre's "Paubaya" music video, Won-shik expressed his excitement about working with him.
Among his cinematic credits are his roles in the plays "True Beauty" and "Alchemy of Souls."
He claimed that after reading the script for "Pag-ibig Na Kaya," he was able to easily get into character and feel that the film's general approach was genuinely influenced by K-dramas.
Although he acknowledged that speaking both English and Filipino in the majority of his scenes puts strain on him, Won-shik views the entire process of filming this show as an amazing experience that has immensely aided his development as an actor.
Sooner, the remaining cast members of "Pag-ibig Na Kaya" will be revealed.
