The 71st edition of Miss Universe 2022 which will be held in New Orleans will be hosted by former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo and television host Jeannie Mai Jenkins.
Both Culpo and Jenkins will take over hosting duties from television icon Steve Harvey, the pageant's host since 2015 as a part of Fox's deal with Miss Universe that ended in 2022.
Harvey will be likely remembered for his initial stint on Miss Universe 2015 after he made a mistake in announcing Colombia's bet Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner when it was Philippines' Pia Wurtzbach who actually won.
Actually, Jenkins had hosted the pageant a year prior to Harvey beginning his stint, while Culpo hosted the 2020 edition as it was in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, alongside Mario Lopez.
Meanwhile, Miss Universe 2018 and the Philippines' very own Catriona Gray will serve as the backstage commentator alongside Emmy award-winner and "American Ninja Warrior," Zuri Hall as co-host.
The 71st Miss Universe will happen on January 14, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. (January 15, 9:00 a.m. in the Philippines.
The country's representative Celeste Cortesi is vying to take the Philippines' fifth crown.
