Ivana Alawi truly has a heart of gold.
Actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi shared her blessings to the kids who stayed at the hospital during Christmas time, aside from celebrating separately with her family.
As she turned 26 on Christmas Day, she gave away toys and cash to a total of 50 children at the Philippine Children's Medical Center and the National Children's Hospital.
According to Alawi, giving away cash gifts is part of her gratitude to her supporters and those who support her skincare brand, Ivana Skin.
She also said that hospitalized children remind her of her younger sister, Mona, who has type 1 diabetes, making their family emotional.
“Very malapit sa puso namin ‘yung mga kids na may sakit at nasa ospital kasi alam namin ‘yung feeling kung gaano kabigat at gaano kasakit. Si Mona, doon siya na-ospital before and nakita ko ‘yung mga kids doon. Naalala ko lang sila at gusto ko silang maging masaya," she said in her vlog.
Since the hospital still implements COVID-19 protocols, Alawi's team was not able to hand out the gifts personally and dropped them off at nurses' stations so they can distribute the presents to the patients.
Meanwhile, Alawi was too busy for the past months with her Metro Manila Film Festival movie, "Partners in Crime" starring Vica Ganda.
Recently, she got featured as one of the "100 Most Beautiful Faces" of 2022 by TC Candler.
