A Pinay nurse and her patient was brutally killed by the militant Hamas group in Israel, according to an Israel labor group.
In a Facebook post, the Commissioner for Foreign Workers' Labor Rights in Israel confirmed that a Pinay nurse named Angeline died after staying with her patient despite the chance to run away.
"Galing sa Pilipinas si Angeline para magtrabaho sa Kibbutz Kfar Gaza. Sa nakamamatay na pag-atake ng terorista sa Kfar Gaza, hindi siya tumakas sa kabila na kaya niya, dahil sa katapatan sa kanyang pasyenteng si Nira," said the commission in a translated language of Hebrew.
According to the labor rights organization, the two victims were brutally murdered by the terrorists.
The commission expressed its prayers and sympathy to the Angeline's bereaved family.
On Wednesday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed the deaths of two Filipinos following the unprecedented attack.
Hamas launched its most significant assault against Israel on Saturday, Oct. 7, shooting rockets and sending armed men into a number of cities, leading the Israeli government to declare a state of war.
With the death toll on both sides already in the hundreds and rising, Israel responded by attacking Gaza.
Leaders from around the world, including President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr., denounced the attacks carried out by the Palestinian group.
Over a thousand people have already died and thousands more have been injured as a result of the war.
