The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed Wednesday, Oct. 11, the death of two Filipinos following the unprecedented attack of the militant group Hamas in Israel.
“The Philippines condemns the killing of two Filipino nationals and all other acts of terrorism and violence as a result of Hamas actions against Israel,” DFA said in a statement.
“The Philippines is ready to work with other countries towards a long-lasting resolution to the conflict, in accordance with pertinent United Nations (UN) Security Council resolutions and the general principles of international law,” it added.
DFA maintained that the government will continue in providing every possible assistance to distressed Filipino nationals in Israel and Palestine.
The foreign affairs department earlier said they were focusing on the repatriation of Filipinos in Gaza Strip.
