The Embassy of Israel in the Philippines released a statement on Wednesday regarding the loss of two Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who were confirmed killed amidst the Hamas terror attacks in Israel.
"The Embassy of the State of Israel in Manila expresses its deepest sympathies to the families of the two (2) Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who were confirmed dead due to the Hamas terror attacks in Israel. We offer prayers as well to those who are still missing," the embassy said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the Israel Embassy condemned Hamas' acts towards innocent victims.
"We strongly condemn the acts of terrorism by Hamas towards the innocent Israeli citizens and other nationalities in Israel. Israel will continue to defend itself against HAMAS," it said.
Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed the deaths of two unnamed Filipinos in the said country.
DFA promised that the government will continue to provide every possible assistance to distressed Filipino nationals in Israel and Palestine.
