Senator Imee Marcos led the distribution of financial assistance to beneficiaries of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program during a payout activity held on Wednesday at a covered court in the capitol compound in Agusan del Norte.
On Wednesday, a total of 1,365 beneficiaries from the towns of Remedios T. Romualdez, Jabonga, Buenavista, Las Nieves, and Cabadbaran City received AICS assistance.
Each beneficiary received PHP3,000 in financial assistance, for a total of PHP4,095,000.
She went on to say that the AICS assistance, which will be distributed through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), will help families who are struggling financially as a result of the rise in the prices of fuel and other basic commodities.
During the activity, Marcos was assisted by Agusan del Norte Gov. Maria Angelica Rosedell Amante and Rep. Dale Corvera.
She thanked Sen. Marcos for his continued support of the provincial government and for personally attending the AICS payout.
There were 78 beneficiaries from Remedios T. Romualdez town, 107 from Jabonga, 510 from Buenavista, 221 from Las Nieves, and 449 from Cabadbaran City.
