Korean actress Hyeri addressed her past relationship with actor Ryu Jun-yeol amid the latter’s dating issues with Han So-hee.

“Last November, the news was released that my eight-year relationship came to an end. It was not a decision made in a short period of time, and even after the breakup news came out, we had a conversation about talking more [about our situation],” Hyeri wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post (translation via Soompi)

Hyeri added that despite planning to talk about their relationship, they failed to meet after having that conversation.

“However, we have not had any contact or met since that conversation. And four months later, I think my emotions after coming across a new article were perceived not as actress Lee Hyeri but as just Lee Hyeri. I apologize once again for causing harm with my impulsive emotions,” she continued.

The actress also apologized for the “controversy” caused by her cryptic Instagram story with the caption, “This is funny.”

“I sincerely apologize for the repression and controversy caused by my personal feelings over the past few days,” she wrote. “I don’t think I’ve ever thought about what ripple effect each of my trivial actions would bring.”

Hyeri said she did not explain the reason behind her actions since the conversations were personal, thinking that it would cause worry to the public.

“If this caused confusion for anyone, I am also sorry for that,” she said.

Hyeri has been involved in the dating issues between her ex-boyfriend Ryu and his new relationship with Han.
