Korean actress Han So-hee on Saturday, March 16, confirmed her relationship with fellow actor Ryu Jun-yeol a day after the former’s agency denied the dating rumors between the two.

In Han’s blog on Naver, she expressed dating Ryu “with positive feelings” but denied that their relationship overlapped while the actor was still in a relationship with his previous girlfriend, actress Hyeri.

“First, it’s true that we are in a relationship with positive feelings [...] It’s true that we met through the exhibition, but I went there through a friend who’s a photographer with the goal of viewing the exhibition, and because I’d heard the news that we might be doing a project together, I wound up saying hello,” she wrote (translated via Soompi).

“When we exchanged feelings for one another, it was already the beginning of 2024, and his breakup with that person was already wrapped up in early 2023,” she continued, allaying the concerns that she was the alleged third party in Ryu’s previous relationship.

Han also apologized for her “pathetic” Instagram story posted yesterday of a dog’s photo holding a knife, with the statement: “I don’t like people who have a significant other [...] I don’t get in the way of other people’s relationships.”

Fans speculated that Han’s Instagram story was a clap back to Hyeri’s cryptic Instagram story with the caption, “This is funny,” after the rumors of Han and Ryu’s dating allegations broke.

In her blog, she wrote that the Instagram story was a bid to quash the rumors that she started daring the actor before his breakup.

“I temporarily lost all reason and behaved rudely,” she continued, expressing her apologies toward Hyeri and her fans “for not reacting wisely.”

Meanwhile, Ryu’s agency C-Jes Studios released a statement shortly after Han’s blog post, stating that the actor has been dating Han since the beginning of the year and knew of the actress after his breakup with Hyeri.

In an allkpop report, the agency asked the public to respect the actor’s privacy.

“We asked to respect his privacy because he was spotted on his trip against his will,” the statement read. “We would like to ask for your understanding once again because his personal rights have been seriously violated with unnecessary misunderstandings and speculations over the past couple of days just because we did not confirm his relationship status.”

Han So-hee is known for her roles in Netflix’s “Gyeongseong Creature,” “My Name,” and “Nevertheless.” She rose to fame for her portrayal of a mistress in “The World of the Married.”
