Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Menardo Guevarra was rushed to a hospital on Tuesday and will remain there to undergo further tests.

In a statement to reporters, Justice Undersecretary Adrian Sugay confirmed that Guevarra, 67, was brought to a medical facility after not "feeling well" on Tuesday morning.

"He was not feeling well this morning. He was brought to the hospital," Sugay said.

“He is under observation and will undergo routine tests. He is okay now,” he added.
