The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Wednesday, March 27, reminded the public to not support unauthorized buses during this Holy Week season.
During the Kapihan sa Manila Bay, LTFRB Chairman Teofilo Guadiz III reiterated no aid may be provided to passengers in case of an accident if the bus they are riding has no special travel permit.

Guadiz said buses drivers traveling outside their designated routes will likewise be ineligible for insurance coverage in the event of an accident.
"Kunware ang bus is Manila to Bulacan, pag hindi siya kumuha ng special permit at nagbyahe siya all the way to Laoag, between Bulacan and Laoag, pag may nangyari sa kaniya, there is no personal accident insurance that will cover them," he stressed.
The LTFRB official added that the bus companies only have to pay P50 per bus unit to ply the road this Holy Week.
Guadiz further said that they have granted a special permit to 1,050 buses, effective until the second week of April.
