All classes and government agencies in the National Capital Region (NCR) were suspended on Monday, September 2, due to the inclement weather caused by Typhoon Enteng.
The order was issued by Malacañang early Monday and approved by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.
"The suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads," the Executive Secretary said in a statement.
As of 8 a.m., several areas in Luzon, including Metro Manila, are under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2.
Typhoon Enteng is packing maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour near the center, with gusts reaching up to 90 kph. The typhoon was last tracked over the coastal waters of Vinzons, Camarines Norte.
