First Lady Liza Marcos breaks ground for construction of Palace catering area

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Thursday, Sept. 15 led the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a "new catering area" in Malacañang Palace.

On her official Facebook page, Marcos shared a photo showing her at the groundbreaking of the catering area on September 15. No other details were provided about the project.

The construction comes three months after her husband, President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. assumed office.

It also earned mixed reactions from the netizens, who were mostly questioning the priorities of the current administration given that the country is still in a pandemic along with the inflation in the basic commodities.

Malacañang has yet to release a statement regarding this project.
