A warehouse in Potrero, Malabon caught fire amid New Year's Day celebration on January 1, 2024.
According to Edwin Duques's report, the fire started at 1:27 AM at dawn. It was reported that the warehouse included textiles and apparel, and the chemicals therein posed a challenge for the fire volunteers and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in putting out the flames.
The BFP targeted other neighboring buildings in the warehouse to prevent the spread of the fire.
The first alarm fire reached Task Force Alpha, which lasted 5 hours.
Around 5:38 a.m. the fire was declared under control.
