The Philippines won six more gold medals in the 2022 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Filipina weightlifter Rosalinda Faustino swept all three gold medals in the women's 49 kilograms youth division on Tuesday, July 19, after registering a total lift of 161 kilograms.
Faustino topped the snatch event with a lift of 71 kilograms as well as the clean and jerk category with a lift of 90 kilograms.
Rosegie Ramos also contributed to the gold medal haul of the Philippines after she ruled the women's 92 kilograms junior division with a total lift of 176 kilograms.
Ramos placed first in the snatch category with a lift of 80 kilograms, and in the clean and jerk category with a lift of 96 kilograms.
Currently, the Philippine delegation has already amassed 12 gold medals, two silver medals, and three bronze medals in the ongoing sports event.
