K-pop kings EXO on Sunday dropped the first teaser to their much-awaited comeback slated next month.
On the night of June 12, through their official accounts, the group shared a 12-second video teaser of their 7th full-length album titled "EXIST" which will be released on July 10.
The upcoming release will mark EXO's first comeback in over two years since their special album "Don't Fight The Feeling" in 2021.
A lot has happened since the group reunited earlier this year for a fan meeting for their 11th anniversary — their first-ever performance as 8 again sans Chinese member Lay, who left the label in 2022 after his contract ended, and after consecutive military enlistments.
Member Kai will not be participating in the promotions of their upcoming album as he is currently enlisted in the military.
The comeback also comes amidst Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin, known for their subunit EXO-CX, current contract row with their label SM Entertainment after the three terminated their exclusive contracts.
Despite this, the trio assured fans that they would find ways to continue promoting EXO regardless of their legal issues with SM.
EXO debuted in 2012 with an original 12-member line-up that is divided into 2 subunits: EXO-K and EXO-M. They were trimmed to a nine-piece act following the departure of three Chinese members.
Baekhyun recently wrapped up his performance in Manila for a local concert along with other K-pop acts.
EXO's duo, Sehun and Chanyeol, likewise successfully finished their "BACK TO BACK" fancon in the country last May 20.
Fellow EXO members Xiumin and Chen also went to the Philippines in December for an advocacy concert.
All members have one thing to say to their Filipino fans and that is to bring their fellow members back to the Philippines for a much-awaited and highly-anticipated concert "EXO Planet 6."
