

The National Bureau of Investigation-Pampanga District Office (NBI-PAMDO) arrested former Baguio City mayoral candidate Mark Andrew Bandoc Directo on Monday, June 9, in connection with multiple estafa complaints.
According to NBI, Directo was apprehended at around 4:00 p.m. at Villa 9, ASEAN Clark Villas, inside the ClaNBI rk Freeport Zone.
The arrest was made following a confirmed warrant of arrest issued by Judge Heherson Almondia Casareno of RTC Branch 79, Baguio City. The warrant, under Criminal Case No. 48525-R, was dated May 21, 2025.
NBI said that several individuals filed complaints accusing Directo of misrepresenting himself in various transactions using falsified documents. He allegedly claimed ownership of condominium buildings and villas in Clark and Baguio, offering them for sale supposedly to fund his campaign for the May 2025 elections.
The complainants also claimed that Directo promised a share in profits from fictitious projects in exchange for financial support for his campaign.
Victims reportedly came from both Pampanga and Baguio City.
