Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero was re-elected as Senate President of the 20th Congress of the Philippines after securing a majority vote from his fellow senators on Monday, July 28, 2025.

Escudero garnered a total of 19 votes, while his fellow nominee, former Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto III, received 5 votes.

The senators who voted for Escudero to retain his position include Senators Jinggoy Estrada, Tito Sotto, Joel Villanueva, JV Ejercito, Win Gatchalian, Imee Marcos, Bong Go, Bato Dela Rosa, Rodante Marcoleta, Mark Villar, Camille Villar, Raffy Tulfo, Erwin Tulfo, Robin Padilla, Lito Lapid, Pia Cayetano, Alan Peter Cayetano, Kiko Pangilinan, and Bam Aquino.

Meanwhile, Senators Escudero, Risa Hontiveros, Ping Lacson, Loren Legarda, and Migz Zubiri cast their votes for Sotto to become Senate President.
