Eastern Police District (EPD) Director PBGen Aden Lagradante has ordered an investigation into possible lapses in command responsibility following a serious complaint of sexual abuse involving two senior police officers and a female colleague in Marikina City.
“Pinaimbestigahan ko lahat. Team leaders, sector commander at iba pa,” Lagradante stated in an interview with DZRH reporter Edniel Parrosa.
He added that anyone found to have been negligent or complicit will face appropriate sanctions: “Kung meron pang pabaya ay (dapat) mabigyan ng sanction kung kailangan.”
This development follows yesterday’s report that a female police officer filed a complaint against two of her senior non-commissioned officers (NCOs) for alleged sexual abuse while the three were on duty on August 17 in Marikina.
Lagradante confirmed that the accused officers have been disarmed and placed under restrictive custody.
“They will be subjected to restrictive custody,” he said.
The investigation now expands beyond the accused individuals, focusing on possible failures in leadership, oversight, and protocols within the station.
