Second alarm has been raised at the Marikina River by Marikina City government as the water level continue to rise brought by Typhoon Egay.

According to Marikina Public Information Office (PIO), the water level reached 16 meters as of 11:11 a.m.

Under the second alarm, residents near the Marikina river were advised to prepare for evacuation.

The first alarm was declared in Marikina River at 7 a.m. after the water level reached 15.3 meters.
