Filipina Tennis star Alex Eala climbed in the world rankings after she snagged both the singles' and doubles' title the W100 Vitoria-Gasteiz in Spain.
Eala climbed up to 143rd spot, 12 places higher compared to her previous ranking of 155, in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) singles rankings.
She also rose to the 208th spot, from no. 245, in the doubles rankings of the WTA.
The 19-year old Filipina athlete claimed her fifth singles title after she bested Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva, 6-4, 6-4, on Sunday, July 21.
Meanwhile, Eala and her partner Estelle Cascino of France defeated Lia Karatancheva of Bulgaria, and Diana Marcinkevica of Latvia, 6-3, 2-6, 10-4, on Saturday, July 20, in the finals of the women's doubles competition.
"I am so proud because this represents the culmination of so much hard work. Securing my biggest titles yet in both singles and doubles is a fairytale finish, and I’m overwhelmed with emotion," Eala said in a Facebook post.
"This will always have a special place in my heart, and I leave here with a pocket full of great memories and the will to work harder," she added
